What is your best selling products?
A year ago I would have said Street Gloss but lipstick (Street Stick) has made a huge surge and now I sell it almost two to one. I go back and forth because I couldn’t live without 24th St gloss in my bag everyday. Hands down the best pale mauve ever.
Your street stick - are vailable in cream (c) pearlized (p) and sheer (s) textures. Is there a particular season to wear one over another?
Creams are best for Fall and Winter because they are richly pigmented and last longest. The sheers are perfect for anytime really but nice in the Spring and Summer as they are light weight with just a hint or tint of color. I love pearlized shades for Holiday. They are flirty and fun, party - ready and instantly dress you up.
How did you get started in the makeup industry?
Right out of high school Clinique hired me as beauty advisor, white coat and all. I didn't last long, I quickly made the switch to Lancome. The black smock fit my vibe better. I covered myself in their edgiest fragrance Magie Noir.
What was the hardest part about launching your own business?
Hardest part is coordinating all the pieces of the puzzle to fit smoothly. Only happens in theory.
How do you balance being a mom & business owner?
It's not easy! My boys are a little older now (9 and soon to be 8) so they can play videos or cards in their room and hoops in the backyard while I squeeze in some work in my home office.
